Frequently Asked Questions
Allergy Testing Procedures

Procedure Description:
New, improved allergy testing

What To Expect:
We use the newest, quickly applied, nearly pain-free allergy tests. The tests are performed on the lower arm and are much more comfortable than the older "scratch testing" that are still performed by some allergists.

Preprocedure:
Please do not take antinhistamine(allergy) pills 48 hours before the allergy test. If you are not sure whether or not you can take a particular medication, please call the office.

Postprocedure:
The newer allergy tests are, as mentioned above, nearly pain-free. There will be itching over the site of the individual tests if you are highly allergic. The itching generally lasts less than an hour.
